Shiv Sena (UBT) had released a one-minute campaign song on 16 April.

The Election Commission on Sunday sent a notice to Shiv Sena (Uddhav’s faction) asking it to remove the word ‘Bhavani’ from the campaign song. The Commission said that this word is a word associated with a Hindu goddess. Such religious slogans cannot be used in elections.

Expressing his displeasure over the Commission’s notice, Uddhav Thackeray said that he would not remove the word Bhavani from his theme song. The Commission should take whatever action is necessary.

Uddhav further said that BJP leaders sought votes many times in the name of religion, but no action was taken against them. The Election Commission should first take action against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

In fact, Uddhav’s faction had released a promotional song for the election campaign on April 16, in which the word ‘Bhavani’ is mentioned.

2 big statements from Uddhav…

1. Modi-Shah asking for votes in the name of religion
Uddhav said that in the Karnataka elections, PM Modi spoke about voting by saying Jai Bajrang Bali. Amit Shah talked about allowing people to visit Ram Temple for free in MP assembly elections. I had written a letter to the Electoral Commission regarding this. I had asked whether the Electoral Commission would take action against the Prime Minister of the UK and the Home Minister if they asked for votes in the name of religion, but so far I have not received a reply to this letter.

2. Insulting Kul Devi of Maharashtra
Uddhav said we did not beg for votes in the name of Hindu religion like the BJP. We also did not say that we have to vote for whoever says Jai Bhavani, but the Election Commission still sent us a notice.

The Election Commission has insulted Maharashtra. Goddess Tulja Bhavani is the family goddess of Maharashtra. We will not tolerate their insults at all. We will not remove Bhavani and Hinduism from our theme song. Today the Election Commission has expressed opposition to saying Jai Bhavani. He will oppose speaking tomorrow Jai Shivaji. It will not be tolerated.

Shiv Sena (UBT) theme song – Torch will burn against dictatorship
Shiv Sena (UBT) shared the theme song on its social media handle on April 16. At the end of this video, Shiv Sena supporters raise slogans of Jai Bhavani. Sharing this video, the party wrote that Shiv Sena’s torch will burn against dictatorship.

At the end of the video, three generations of the Thackeray family are seen together. Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray are also seen here along with Balasaheb Thackeray.

The Election Commission has also sent a notice to AAP leader Atishi
The Election Commission had also issued a notice to Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi Singh on April 5. Atishi had said that he had received an offer to join the Bharatiya Janata Party and was being threatened with jail if he did not. that. The Electoral Commission had raised questions about its validity.

Former Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao had made objectionable remarks against Congress leaders. The Electoral Commission had sent him a notice regarding this as well. The Election Commission has also sent notices to Ganesh Godiyal and Raghubir Singh Kadian of the Congress.
