Under Ater and Dehat police station area in Bhind district, charges have been filed against two women for harassing them at their in-laws’ house for demanding dowry. Following the complaint of the victims, a case has been registered against the accused by the police.

According to the information, the complainant Neetu Sharma, wife of Dnyaneshwar Sharma, resident of Niwari Ater police station told the police that she was married to Dnyaneshwar on 30 November 2020. After marriage, she is continuously harassed demanding dowry If the demands are fulfilled then all is well, otherwise they are physically and mentally harassed by the in-laws.
While Aarti’s wife Ashish Sharma, who lives in Rajput Nagar, Bharoli Road, told the police that she was married to Ashish on 6 February 2018. From the time of marriage, pressure for dowry started continuously. Whenever the dowry amount does not reach her in-laws, she is harassed. The police have registered a case on the complaint of the two victims.
