Web Desk: Two military helicopters crash in the sea in Japan. One person died in the accident and 7 officers went missing.
Japan’s Ministry of Defense says that according to flight data, the two helicopters were last flying close to each other. It is possible that the helicopter fell into the sea due to a mid-air collision. The search for the wreckage of the helicopters and the missing people is ongoing.
Japanese Defense Minister Minoru Kihara said rescue workers had seen part of the plane in the sea and we believe both helicopters crashed. He said the cause of the accident is not known at the moment but we will do our best to save lives first.
