Truck-bike collision on NH-107, young man dies in Madhepura Truck-bike collision on NH-107, young men die: Marriage took place only two years ago, mother and daughter seriously injured in Madhepura – Madhepura News Achi-News

A youth died in a head-on collision between a truck and a bike on Friday on NH-107 between Commerce College and Ganesh Stan under Madpura Sadar police station area. A woman and a child were seriously injured.

The deceased has been identified as Ranjan Kumar Mandal (28), son of Sukmar Mandal, a resident of Tekti District-1. After the incident, the truck driver left the truck and fled the scene. Family members said that around 11 am on Friday, Ranjan Mandal went to Madpura with his mother Kaushalya Devi to treat his daughter Sandhya Kumari. Meanwhile, near Dharmakanta before Ganesh Stan, a truck coming from the opposite direction hit the bike head-on. In this accident, the mother, the son and the girl who were riding the bicycle were seriously injured.

Neighboring people took the three injured to Madpura Sadar Hospital, where Ranjan Kumar Mandal died during treatment. Whereas in view of his mother’s critical condition, she was referred to the JNKT Medical College Hospital. The woman and the girl are being treated at the medical college.

It is said that Ranjan Mandal was married two years ago. He used to support his family by working as a laborer. Immediately upon receiving the information about the death, the rest of the family including the woman were distressed and crying. Ban Takathi chief Vikas Kumar said the two injured were referred to the higher center from the medical college. According to him, late Ranjan Mandal belonged to a very poor family. He used to make a living by working as a laborer. He demanded adequate compensation from the government.

Here, as soon as information about the incident was received, Sdar police officers arrived at the scene and sent the body for an autopsy at Sdar Hospital. Sadar Police Station Superintendent Vimalendu Kumar said the body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The injured are being treated at the hospital. The police are investigating the matter
