Travel expensive again, NHA raises toll tax rates for national highways and motorways Achi-News

LAHORE – Road travel has become expensive once again as the National Highways Authority (NHA) has announced an increase in toll tax rates for a number of national highways and highways.

The new fares will be effective from July 1, 2024 and will be applicable on various routes including M1 Islamabad Peshawar, M3 Lahore Abdul Hakeem, M4 Pindi Bhattian Faisalabad Multan, M5 Multan Sukkur Expressway, M14 DI Khan, Havelian – Mansehra Expressway and E35 Hussainabad -Hassan Abdal included.

Under the revised rates, vehicle toll on national highways has increased from Rs 30 to Rs 40, while wagons will see an increase from Rs 70 to Rs 100.

The NHA claimed that the additional revenue from these higher toll taxes would be used to improve and maintain national highways, to ensure safer and more efficient travel for commuters.
