VANDE BHARAT | We decided to burst the ‘Wand Bharat’ bubble. An analysis of IRCTC’s booking data reveals that over 50% of Vande Bharat runs are running with empty or partially filled seats.

Presenting the facts on social media, the Congress said that 277 seats were vacant in Mumbai-Sulpur and Bharat, but waiting lists were formed in almost all other trains operating on the same route. It means there is a huge demand for trains, but people don’t book Vande Bharat because of expensive tickets. While Garib Rath offers tickets at Rs 770, Vanda Bharat’s exorbitant price of Rs 1720 prevents the common man from travelling.
The party also said that the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train is also being built at the whim of one person without any consultation. Initially the budget of this project was 1.1 lakh million rupees, which has now increased to 1.6 million NIS. By the time the projector is completed, it may reach Rs 2 lakh crore. In contrast, Indian Railways operates more than 13,000 trains per day with a production cost of Rs 4950 crore. Of these, only 51 are Van & Bharat Express trains.
It’s time to pop the bubble of congressional lies.
Occupancy of Vande Bharat trains on 7th May is 98%.
Occupancy in FY 2024-25 (till May 7) is 103%.
Does Congress want Wand Bharat to stop? pic.twitter.com/zihu2GwpfR

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav himself has come forward against these allegations of the Congress. Reacting to this on his social media platform X, the railway minister said it is time to burst the bubble of Congress lies. The Railway Minister said that the occupancy of Vande Bharat trains on May 7, 2024 was 98 percent. At the same time, the occupancy of V&B trains in the financial year 2024-25 stood at 103 percent. The Railway Minister further asked the question does the Congress want the Van & Bharat Railway to be stopped?
