KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan has released data on imports and exports and trade deficit.
According to the released report, Pakistan sold goods worth 2 billion 57 million dollars to foreign countries in March, imports goods worth 4 billion 87 million dollars to Pakistan from foreign countries in March.
The State Bank said there was no increase in exports month-on-month, while imports rose 13 percent month-on-month, widening the trade deficit to 34 percent.

During the first 9 months of this financial year, the financial volume of exports was 23 billion dollars, during the first 9 months of this financial year, the financial volume of imports was 40 billion dollars.
The State Bank says that in the first 9 months of this financial year, the trade deficit has decreased by 24 percent to 17.14 billion dollars.
