As part of the Gopalganj Lok Sabha elections, the voting process will begin at 7 am on May 25 at the 2006 polling stations in the district. Preparations for the administrative department to conduct voting in a peaceful, fair and fear-free environment have been completed.

2006: In order to restore tight security at the polling stations, forces of paramilitary forces, BSF and local police force, besides a cavalry team were deployed to patrol the Diara area. The security arrangements have become so tight. The members of the paramilitary force equipped with modern weapons will be deployed in marked polling stations on the day of voting.
There will be a total of 10 layers of security arrangements across the district on polling day. As part of it, a central paramilitary force, the Behar Police and the District Police will be deployed in three layers at the polling stations. There will be internet and video broadcasts in sensitive booths. After that, Sector, Police Station, Zonal, Super Zonal, District will be divided into 245 Sectors, 40 Zonals, 14 Super Zonals, two Sub Divisions and ARO level. Armed soldiers along with judges and police officers will be deployed at each level.
Apart from that, police officers will be deployed at the central intersections of the district headquarters and in other areas and will also continue patrolling. The same mounted BSF troopers keep an eye on anti-social elements by visiting Sadar village in Pathara block, Diara area and dams.
There is tight security at the launch center and also at Vajragriha.
There is tight police security at the five dispatch centers, and the Jaragaria and vote counting centers built in the district. Central military forces have already been deployed to secure EVMs and VVPATs. CISF personnel were deployed in three layers in the counting center cum strong room. Closed-circuit cameras were installed at each gate. The diary is saved here. It is mandatory for every visitor to write in the diary, even if he is the next DM or SP. There is also an inscription on the outer wall that is under surveillance.
The security forces were deployed. Along with drone cameras, NDRF, SDRF and mounted police personnel will also maintain a strict vigil in the Gandak river border area.
