The extreme heat has wreaked havoc in the central and eastern parts of the country including the plains of northwestern India. Half the country is hot in Nautapa. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday said heat wave is occurring in some parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Gujarat. It is very hot in these countries even at night. In Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir and normal areas of Himachal Pradesh, the temperature remains above 40 and heat wave continues. Rajasthan Sgt Bhajan Lal Sharma directed the administration to take all possible measures to protect against the heat. In Maharashtra’s Akola, the district administration has imposed Section 144 till May 31 and any kind of public assembly has been banned. The maximum temperature in Akola on Friday and Saturday was 45 At the same time, the signal time in Bhopal has been cut in half.

Sweat even on the mountains

According to IMD, the extreme heat will continue till May 29 in most parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan. During this period, intense heat will also be felt in some parts of UP, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra.

Some areas in the Northeast, including West Bengal, Assam and Meghalaya, are expected to get some respite from the scorching heat as after Cyclone Ramal in the Bay of Bengal hits the coast, rain and strong winds are possible in these areas. .
