“It’s me, Tim Meadows, and I’m an Oilers fan.”
An unlikely celebrity has emerged from social media to cheer on the Edmonton Oilers as they take on the Dallas Stars tonight in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
Saturday Night Live Alumnus and comedian Tim Meadows posted an Instagram video wearing an Oilers hoodie on Wednesday, pledging not to shave until the Edmonton Oilers win the Stanley Cup.
Meadows’ unexpected fandom for the Oilers begs the question — what other celebrities wear the orange and blue?
Here’s a curated list of famous Oilers fans from “yeah, we already know” to “who knew?”:
1. Brett Kissel – country music singer

Kurt Browning was the Edmonton Oilers honorary captain for the NHL’s 75th anniversary in 2022. Browning made history at the 1988 World Figure Skating Championships when he landed the first quadruple jump in competition.
3. Jordan Bocht – player

The Edmonton Oilers will face the Dallas Stars in the first game of the Western Conference Finals on Thursday. Just like Tim Meadows and these other celebrity fans, Edmontonians are supposed to be vocal for their favorite hockey team.
