A fraud of about Rs 1 crore has taken place in the district in the purchase of lunch plates in government schools. The director of elementary education ordered in November of last year that the school principal purchase the plate and submit his certificate of use to the department. But MDM DPO Anand Vijay himself decided on the vendor and got the plate purchased at a fixed rate of Rs 140. Pressure was put on all the managers to buy thali from the seller only. Even the managers who purchased the thali from their level are pressured to buy the thali from the supplier. They are sent vouchers by force.
These boards will be distributed in the block resource center ie BRC of all the blocks.
