Bhura alias 35-year-old Awadhesh Khatik, who lives in Gol Pahadiya Nirbhay Colony located in Janakganj police station area, runs a fruit stall. Three days ago, four policemen from the Janakganj police station picked him up and brought him to the police station. They started questioning him about some theft. He said he knew nothing of any theft. On this he was accommodated in the lock-up at the Janakganj police station. Here the police have shown absolute brutality on him. First there was beating with kicks and punches. Not only this, he tied his hands and legs and beat him with a belt.
A day later, someone else was caught and he was also beaten in the same way.
An injured Awadhesh said the next day after my arrest, another young man was brought back. His name was Janakganj, a resident of Kamal Ghatge. He was also beaten in the same way. There are also injury marks on his body. Awadhesh said he had a minor fracture. There are injuries in many places on the body. A policeman had hit his mouth with his shoe, so the whole lip is swollen. It still hurts when I hit my head with a shoe.

Family lost patience after three days, reached SP
When three days passed, the police did not show Awadhesh’s arrest or allow him to meet his family. The family got scared on this and met Gwalior SP Dharamveer Singh on Saturday. SP took notice of the matter immediately. At the same time, Awadhesh’s condition began to deteriorate in the lockdown. Seeing his bad condition, the soldiers of Janakganj police station got scared. He immediately released Awadhesh and the suspicious Kamal he had brought with him. When Awadhesh’s condition worsened, he was immediately taken to the hospital in a police vehicle.
