BDO Shailendra Kumar Singh said that all necessary facilities will be provided to protect against heat. Preparations are being made to make alternative arrangements in polling stations where there is no facility to stand in a shed or in the shade, so that voters can appear together in large numbers and stand in lines to exercise their franchise. Also, medical staff and medicines to protect against heat waves will be available: in light of the extreme heat wave, necessary medicines will also be available at all the stands, so that in case of emergency, glucose or other medicine can be given to every voter. Upon request and at the suggestion of the medical team, for this purpose, quick assistance and medical kits will be available with the polling officer at all booths.
There will be alternative arrangements for heat protection in 142 polling stations. Achi-News
