In Ghaswari, a 24-year-old Prashant Kumar was murdered by being beaten with an iron rod during a love affair. The incident took place in a settlement near the Haswari police station. The condition of another young man Gautam Kumar who was injured in this incident is critical. Protesting this, the villagers created a ruckus on NH-82 in front of the police station on Thursday evening. They also threw stones at the policemen who went to calm them down. Under the auspices of the villagers, anti-social elements tried to set the police car on fire. But, the police somehow removed the villagers from the NH by using mild force. Traffic was stopped for about three hours. Six policemen were slightly injured in this incident.

Prashant was fatally attacked at 10:00 pm on Tuesday night.
