Rangesh Singh, Sonbhadra: The young man was supposed to go to Aurangabad by train. For this he reached Renukoot railway station. The young man had a heavy bag on his shoulder. GRP personnel on duty blocked his way due to suspicion. After opening the bag, the condition of the eyes became wild! A note was found in the bag. After that the young man was caught by the GRP.

According to available information, GRP personnel were conducting a combing operation at Renukoot railway station on Sunday night for security reasons due to Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, Suraj Kumar, a resident of Wadhan in Madhya Pradesh, reached the railway station.

He reached Renukoot station to catch the Singrauli-Patna Express to Aurangabad. This time the GRP personnel were checking the luggage of all the passengers, when Suraj Kumar was caught. When the GRP asked the young man to open the bag, he became nervous. As soon as the bag is opened, 2 bundles are seen in it. And when those bundles were opened, 36 lakh rupees were recovered. Panic spread as a result of recovering so much cash. The news immediately went to the officials of the Income Tax Department.

Santosh Kumar Ojha, in-charge of the GRP outpost, said when the Singrauli-Patna Express arrived on Sunday night, searches were underway ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. A businessman from Vidhan in Madhya Pradesh was suspected to be in his bag and Rs 36 lakh was found after searching the suspect’s bag.

According to the Income Tax Department officials who reached Renukoot, “We have come to know from the GRP that cash of Rs. 36 lakh has been found at the railway station. That is why we have come here. We cannot say anything about this from time. The matter is under investigation.”
But Suraj Kumar said that he himself had withdrawn the money from the bank and was going to his ancestral home in Patna. His mother is ill. There is also a sister’s wedding at home, so take this money. Then the young man began to beg in front of the officers. According to him, he showed all the documents relating to that money to the officers. But he still hasn’t received that money.
