After the case of villagers boycotting the elections due to the malfunctioning of the water tower installed in the village of Katka Karhariya Panchayat of Chas block came to light, the District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Smt Vijaya Jadhav, taking notice of the matter, appointed Block Officer (BDO) Chas.
BDO Chas Pradeep Kumar himself reached the village on Saturday and took information from the villagers about the water tower problem and called a team to repair it and get all the water towers repaired. During this, the villagers expressed happiness over the district administration taking prompt notice of the matter.
The villagers said that the administration has solved their problems and they will all exercise their franchise and vote. At the same time, BDO Chas held a meeting with the villagers and talked about voting themselves and motivating others to vote on the upcoming polling day, 25 May 2024.
