In which a boy from Nidhua village of Bruna Panchayat in Saddar block was admitted for PMH treatment by his family members. When during the investigation the doctors confirmed JE and informed the district health committee about the matter. Then, under the leadership of BHM Prince Kumar Singh of Saddar Block and BMC ​​Alok Kumar of UNICEF, an Active Case Search (ACS) campaign was conducted in all homes by ANM and woman facilitators. Hazing was also done. Civil Surgeon Dr. Suresh Chandra Sinha said that during ACS, children from all homes were checked. Although no child showed symptoms of the disease during this period, the Ministry of Health, taking precautions, decided to provide JE vaccine to the children of the area and fogging to protect them from mosquitoes. So children of affected areas can be protected from outbreak of JE. Also, medical officers in charge of all the blocks have been directed by ASHA to monitor JE in their areas. The department says that after the survey, obfuscation is carried out. District Vector Disease Control Officer Dr Shailendra Kumar Singh said that the Japanese encephalitis virus is a flavivirus spread through the bite of an infected mosquito called Culex tritaeniorhynchus. It is also called Japanese fever or encephalitis in common parlance. Japanese encephalitis first affects the central brain of the person and then can affect the functioning of the rest of the body. In doing so, the person gets a high fever, which reaches the head and can then cause neck stiffness, coma and neurological complications. It is not a contagious fever nor does it spread from one person to another. However, children are vaccinated during routine vaccination to protect them from this disease.
