Speaker Rabindranath Mahtay has given time till June 6 to Mandu MLA and Congress candidate from Hazaribagh parliamentary seat Jaiprakash Bhai Patel to respond based on his application in the defect case. The Speaker has asked Patel to present his defense on the charges against him either himself or through a lawyer. Moreover, Leader of Opposition Amar Bauri, who filed a complaint against Patel under the 10th Schedule (deficiency), has also been given time till June 6 to present his case either personally or through his advocate, based on his request. The speaker had earlier asked both sides to submit their views till May 2.
