Lahore (Newsdesk) Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series ‘Hira Mandi’ is facing criticism due to weak story, characters and obscene language, now the music of the song of the same series ‘Skull Bun’ has also been stolen from Pakistani songs.
The song ‘Hira Mandi’ was released in March before the release of the web series Skull Bun and so far it has received over one crore views on YouTube, however the song received a positive response after the release of the web series.
The song ‘Skull Bin’ from ‘Hira Mandi’ is actually a translation of the poetry of the great Persian poet Amir Khusrau, who wrote at least about 800 years ago and the Urdu translation of his songs was made during the Mughal period.
So far ‘Skull Bun’ has been composed by many artists, qawwals and musicians and sung by many artists in different styles.
Modern classical and traditional music ‘Skull Bun’ was composed by Pakistani musicians and has been performed by singers in different styles for decades.
While ‘Skull Bun’ was sung by Rizwan and Moazzam Ali in Coke Studio Season 8 in 2015, famous singer Misha Shafi has also sung it in her own style.
Similarly, ‘Skull Bin’ has also been sung by the Sabri Qawal Brothers in their unique style while the famous singer Sara Raza has also sung it.
Similarly, ‘Skull Bin’ has also been sung in the programs of Rekhta, an Indian Urdu literary organization.
Seeing the unique importance and popularity of ‘Skull Bun’ among people who are interested in Urdu literature, music, song and history, Sanjay Leela Bhansali also included the same song in his web series.
In ‘Hira Mandi’ the skull bun has been filmed on almost all the main actors of the web series and all the actresses are shown dancing in the palace to the song.
In the web series, ‘Skull Bun’ is sung by Raja Hassan, while instead of naming its composer, it is named after traditional music, which means that the music of the song is copied from music which already existed.
