RAWALPINDI: The Safari tourist train jointly run by Pakistan Railways and a private company on Sunday reached Latuk.

The opening ceremony was graced by dignitaries including Railway Board Secretary Abdul-Malik and Divisional Inspector Rawalpindi Noor Uddin at Gulara Railway Station at 9:00 am.

The train will leave for Rawalpindi at 3:00 PM. The tourists can visit Golera, Hassan Abdal, in the museum in the Pothar area.

According to sources, passengers and guests indulged in a delicious breakfast before embarking on a journey rich in cultural exploration.

The travelers were treated to face painting, music and insights into the historical significance of the Futohar area on the way to Attock Khurd Station via Hasan Abdal.

Upon arrival, a wealth of activities await, from river visits to camel rides, complemented by a sumptuous lunch featuring local delicacies.

The “Safari Tourist Train” promises an enriching experience, boasting three carriages and a lounge carriage. With fares ranging from Rs 2000 for economy class to Rs 4500 for a deluxe package that includes meals, this initiative aims to promote tourism while celebrating the vibrant heritage of Pakistan’s heartland.
