A helmet bank will help prevent road accidents.

In order to reduce road accidents in Bilaspur, the police started a new initiative called the ‘Helmet Bank’. In this framework, cyclists will receive helmets upon presentation of their ID, which the riders will have to deposit back in the bank within 24 hours after the end of the ride.

According to the information, it was started by SP Rajnesh Singh of Chakarbhata police station. On Wednesday evening, inaugurating the helmet bank, SP Rajnesh Singh said that now any person will be able to get a helmet from this bank by showing his identity card during his journey. They will be given helmets free of charge.

There is not a drop of blood in the streets now

Traffic ASP Neeraj Chandrakar said that along with Chakarbhata police station, the ‘Helmet Bank’ has also been activated at Sakri, Koni and Sarkanda police stations. The helmet bank was established with a motto. The Bilaspur police opened the helmet bank as part of the campaign ‘Now there is no drop of blood on the streets’.
