The government has taken a major decision regarding sacrificial animals, see Achi-News

The Punjab government has decided not to charge any fee at the points of sale set up for sacrificial animals.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed that Punjab should be waste free on Eid-ul-Azha. The meeting of local bodies of the province was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Municipalities Minister Zeeshan Rafique. The plan for Eid-ul-Adha was finalized in the meeting.

This was noted by the Secretary of the Local Government Board. The Punjab Local Government Minister has said that outlets for sacrificial animals will be set up on a “no-profit-no-loss” basis.

10 days before Eid-ul-Azha and 3 days after that, the holiday of municipal employees is prohibited.

Zeeshan Rafiq said that eco-friendly bags should be provided free of cost to every house in the cities. I will visit places where animals are sold in different cities impromptu. There is a clear instruction from the Prime Minister that no compromise will be made on the cleaning arrangements.

Also, the Minister of Local Government of the State directed the municipal officials to visit the places where the animals are sold and get rid of the animals without waiting for the prescribed period to expire.
