New Delhi: The 18th Lok Sabha Election will begin from April 19. Even before that, the Election Commission has informed that more than 79 thousand complaints have been registered for violation of election rules. The commission had asked people to file a complaint through the C-Vigil mobile application if any election irregularities or rule violations were detected. C-Vigil has had an incredible response in that regard. The commission has received more than 79,000 complaints about breaching the election code of conduct since the election date was announced.

Answer to 99 percent of complaints!

More than 79,000 complaints have been received through the app since the Lok Sabha election date was announced. The Election Authority said that 99% of them had already been resolved. The Electoral Commission said that 89 percent of the complaints received on the C-Vigil app were resolved within 100 minutes.

More than 58,500 complaints were registered against illegal billboards and banners, 1,400 complaints related to the distribution of money, gifts and liquor. According to the Electoral Commission, 535 complaints relating to the display of guns and threats were received and 529 were resolved.

The first phase of the elections will begin on April 19, and the final phase of the 7th phase will be held on June 1. The election results will be out on June 4. Voting for 102 constituencies in the first phase will be on April 19 Voting will be held on April 26 for 89 constituencies in the second phase, 94 constituencies in the third phase, 96 in the fourth phase, 49 in the fifth phase, 57 in the sixth phase and 57 in the seventh phase.
