In Khairagarh forest division, the forest department has wasted government funds by making fake payments worth crores in the name of cutting lines and various works. It will be almost two years since the complaint was filed about the embezzlement of about 1.25 million government rupees, but so far no action has been taken in this case.

In fact, the whole thing is of the Khairagarh-Dongargarh forest range. From January 2021 to March 2021, fake payments worth crores of rupees were made for work like line cutting, burning etc. Forest officers embezzled government funds worth crores of rupees in connivance with each other.

Embezzlement of more than one million rupees 35 lakhs

The then DFO, the SDO of the Forest Department and the then Range Officers of Dungargarh, Choikhdan, Gandai and Bortlab are also accused of embezzling Rs 1 crore 35 lakh 85 thousand 314 by submitting fake certificates and documents.

No action even after two years

In the whole matter, a letter was sent to the Divisional Forest Officer, Khairagarh by the Chief Conservator of Forests, Durg on 10th October 2022 regarding taking inquiry action and submitting the inquiry report compulsorily within 15 days. But today almost two years have passed but the Divisional Officer Khairagarh has not taken any action action.

We will tell you that in this context it can be assumed that the investigation in this case could not be conducted due to the corruption of the senior officer and political pressure. The current Khairagarh DFO Alok Tiwari said that the entire matter is being investigated and the investigation report has been sent to senior officials.
