Islamabad (Newsdesk) Sui Northern Gas Company has decided to collect more than 6 crore rupees from the public for its employees to play cricket, which has also been approved by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.

Ogra allowed Sui Northern Gas Company to collect Rs 6.8 million from consumers for sports.

OGRA has given this permission for the next financial year 2024-25, where it has been allowed to receive Rs 2 crores from the transmission sector and Rs 3 crores 10 lakhs from its distribution.

Apart from this, permission was given to receive Rs.1 crore 60 lakhs through the sales department.

Sui Northern Sports Cell had requested a provision of Rs 33.3 million to meet operational requirements.

In the petition, it was said that hockey, kabaddi and football are temporarily banned in Sui Northern due to lack of funds, so funds should be released for cricket.

The Prime Minister had lifted the ban on cricket, after which Sui Northern Gas released an amount of Rs 6 crore 80 lakh to the workers to play cricket.
