The FBR spokesperson informed about the progress so far on the issue of blocking the phone sim of non-filers.
According to the spokesperson, FBR had held a meeting with the telecom companies yesterday where the mobile companies were informed about the decision to ban SIMs.
According to the FBR spokesperson, the decision of the Senate is to block the phone SIMs of those who do not file, the government’s decision must be implemented anyway.
According to the sources, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is of the opinion that we do not have the authority to issue an order to block the SIM.
According to sources, the PTA has distanced itself from the issue of turning off the phone.
