A case has been registered at the Kandra police station against Amalgam Company’s security personnel for holding the truck driver hostage and assaulting him. A case of misuse of goods has been registered against the truck driver by the company. According to the information, the truck driver Ranjit Kumar Rawat, who reached the company with the goods, was beaten up by the security personnel. He was also held hostage in the control room for about 36 hours. The truck driver reached the Kandra police station and informed the station in-charge. After this, action has been initiated against the culprits by registering an FIR against guard-in-charge Tarak Nath Tiwari, Mrityunjay and others. According to the FIR, the driver had come to Amalgam Company in Kandra after loading iron fines from Narveram Power and Steel Company, Barbil on May 14. On May 19, he had gone inside the yard to empty the goods. During this, Tarak Nath Tiwari, Mrityunjay and four out of five others beat him up. Here, a case has been registered against the driver for assaulting the security personnel. Police station manager Anjani Kumar said that FIRs have been lodged by both parties.
