Construction work has been delayed due to a change of contractor, lack of funds and other reasons. So the locals use the temporary road under the bridge for traffic.
Local people said that the government has stopped the work because the government has not paid the debts to the contractors. The same contractor had built a bridge in Vemulawada, which was washed away by heavy rains in 2021. Villagers have been using this route for the past five years by making a dirt road under the bridge.
