He was abducted after coming out of the mosque after prayers. The accused demanded a ransom of Rs 23 lakh after abducting the child. Maluvi’s original intention was to raise money to build a new house.

The child is reported missing as he does not return home after long evening prayers. They started looking around. Meanwhile, Muddasir, the father of the dead child, received a call asking for a ransom. A kidnapping complaint was reported to the police. Soon the villagers and the police started looking for the missing child.

On Monday afternoon, the police found the residence of the accused cleric. The body of a 9-year-old child was found in a sack hidden behind the house.
