The Arson Squad of the Montreal Police Department (SPVM) is investigating after being called to a vehicle on fire.
Police responded to a 911 call at 2:40 a.m. for a vehicle on fire on Ricolts Avenue near Saberbois Street in the North Montreal borough.
Firefighters were on the scene and managed to control the fire, but the intensity of the fire caused damage to a second vehicle, according to the SPVM.
“Witnesses indicated that one person was seen leaving the scene quickly,” SPVM spokesman Emmanuel Couture said.
No one was injured in the fire and the investigation is ongoing.
