New Delhi: Voting for the third phase of Lok Sabha Election 2024 has started at 7 am today. Voting for 93 Lok Sabha seats across the country will be held today (Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 3) The political future of 1331 candidates will be announced today in the EVM machine (Voting Phase 3 of Lok Sabha Election 2024) is captured.

In the third phase, the focus will be on Gandhi Nagar in Gujarat, Baramati in Maharashtra, Rajgarh in Madhya Pradesh and Mainpuri in UP. Because the election contest in Gandhinagar is between BJP candidate Amit Shah and Congress candidate Sonal Patel. But in Baramati it is between Sunetra Pawar and Supriya Sule. In Rajgarh constituency, there is a direct contest between Digvijay Singh and Rodmal Nagar, while in Mainpuri, there is a direct contest between Dimple Yadav and Jaiveer Singh.

In the third phase, more than 1300 candidates, including about 120 women, are in the fray. Prominent leaders include Union Ministers Amit Shah (Gandhinagar), Jyotiraditya Scindia (Guna), Mansukh Mandavia (Porbandar), Purushottam Rupala (Rajkot), Prahlad Joshi (Dharwad) and SP Singh Baghel (Agra). Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan (Vdisha) and Digvijay Singh (Rajgarh) are also contesting the Lok Sabha elections this time.

Some constituencies have also made noise in Karnataka, among them Jagdish Shettar of the BJP and Mrinal of the Congress in Belgium, Anjali Nimbalkar and Vishweshwar Hegde from Kageri in Uttara Kannada, Yeddyurappa’s son GAN Vijayendra and Geeta Shivraj Kumar from Shimogarjar of Shimogar, formerly Basmogari Bosmajar. .

The fate of former Karnataka Chief Ministers Basavaraja Bommai (Haveri) and Badruddin Ajmal (Dhubri) will be sealed in EVMs today. In Uttar Pradesh, many members of the late Mulayam Singh Yadav’s family are currently contesting elections. Voting will be held today for 25 seats in Prime Minister Modi’s home state of Gujarat.

Voting will be held in 11 seats in Maharashtra, 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 14 seats out of 28 seats in Karnataka, 7 seats in Chhattisgarh, 9 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 5 seats in Bihar, 4 seats each in Assam and 2 seats each one in West Bengal and Goa. Along with this, the voting will also be held in the third phase for the union territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and 2 seats of Daman and Diu. The elections to be held in the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency have now been postponed to the sixth phase.

Further, voting will be held today in 4 Lok Sabha constituencies in West Bengal namely Malda North, Malda South, Jangipur and Murshidabad. Officials said out of 57 candidates who contested in the third phase, 14 in Jangipur, 15 in North Malda, 17 in South Malda and 11 in Murshidabad. In Murshidabad, there is a big contest between senior CPI(M) leader Mohammad Saleem, TMC’s Abu Tahir Khan and BJP candidate Gauri Shankar Ghosh.

In North Malda, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has fielded former IPS officer Prasoon Banerjee, while the Congress has fielded senior leader Mustaq Alam and the BJP has fielded Khagen Murmu. Malda South is contested by Srirupa Mitra Chaudhary of BJP, Isha Khan Chaudhary of Congress and Shahnawaz Ali Rehan of TMC. In Jangipur, Khalilur Rahman of TMC is fighting against Dhananjay Ghosh of BJP and Khalilur Rahman of Congress.

The competition is fierce in these seats from UP

Voting will be held in Sambhal, Hatras, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Itah, Badun, Amla and Bareilly in the third phase of Uttar Pradesh. At this stage, 1.88 crore voters will decide the fate of 100 candidates. This includes more than 1 crore male voters and more than 87 lakh female voters. The fate of Union Minister SP Singh Baghel, UP Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh, Minister of State for Revenue Anup Pradhan Balmiki and many members of Mulayam Singh Yadav’s family will be decided today in this election.

Dimple Yadav is contesting from Mainpuri constituency. Moreover, Akshay Yadav, son of SP National General Secretary Ram Gopal Yadav, is trying hard to win back the Firozabad seat he won in 2014. On the other hand, Aditya Yadav, who is contesting from Badaun Lok Sabha constituency, is trying to win the stronghold of SP. In 2014, he was represented by his cousin Dharmendra Yadav. Rajveer Singh, son of former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and senior BJP leader Kalyan Singh, is expected to score a hat-trick from Itah constituency.

Voting for 9 Madhya Pradesh seats

Among the 9 constituencies of Madhya Pradesh, the political fate of Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Digvijay Singh will be decided in this election. Voting will be held here in Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha, Bhopal, Rajgarh and Betul constituencies. Voting will take place in 20,456 voting booths in the third phase between 7am and 6pm today. Jyotiraditya Scindia is contesting from Guna, Shivraj Singh Chauhan from Vidisha.

Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh is fighting Rajgarh. It made a comeback in the Lok Sabha elections after 30 years. BJP is expecting a clean sweep in Madhya Pradesh. Voting for 12 of the total 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh was completed in two phases on April 19 and 26. Voting for the remaining eight seats will be held on May 13 in the fourth phase.

Competition between Supriya Sule and Sunetra in Baramati

Elections will be held today for 11 out of 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra. This includes the seat of Baramati. Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule is contesting against Sunetra Pawar, wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Voting will be held in Baramati, Raigarh, Osmanabad, Latur, Solapur, Madha, Sangli, Satara, Ratnagiri-Sindhudurga, Kolhapur and Hatkanangle in the third phase.
