A 10-year-old boy was bitten by a snake in Letuna District No. 13 of Triuniganj Municipal Council, Sopol. After that, his family members caught the snake, tied it in a sack and hung it in the yard. Oja was called there and the exorcism was done.

As the young man’s health deteriorated, he was taken to Triuniganj sub-division hospital. The place where the doctors pronounced him dead. The deceased has been identified as Kartik Kumar (10), son of Pramod Chauhan, a resident of Latuna Ward 13 in Triuniganj Municipal Council.
The snake was tied in this sack and hung.
The father of the deceased said that he was playing in the yard of his own house. Then a snake bit him. After the snake bite he captured the snake, locked it in a sack and took it to an exorcist in the village. When that didn’t help, they took him to the hospital.
There the doctor saw him and pronounced him dead. The deceased was the eldest in the house, followed by two younger sisters. One is 2 years old Meera Kumari and the other is 8 years old Paul Kumari.
