Delhi Outer Deputy Commissioner of Police Jimmy Chiram said the local police received a tip-off about a gambling ring in a house in Multan Nagar on Friday night. Actions were taken after that. Chiram further said, ‘A team led by Inspector Pawan Kumar and Sub-Inspector Chandan Paswan was formed. They raided that house and arrested 45 people, including two women.

According to the police, Tk 9,53,495 in cash, 18 packs of playing cards, 16 dice, 25 rectangular tickets made of hard plastic and 96 round tickets were found. It was further informed that a case has been registered against the accused under the relevant section of the Delhi Public Gambling Act and Section 186 of the Indian Penal Code at West Bihar Police Station. He has also been informed by the police that the accused is being questioned further.
