These days, politics is in full swing in the country regarding the Lok Sabha elections. Different political parties publish their lists of candidates. In this sequence, Congress announced KV Gautam as its candidate from Kolar Lok Sabha seat in Karnataka. Gautam is the president of the Bengaluru Central District Congress Committee. Meanwhile, now senior Congress leader KH Muniyappa has responded to his candidacy. He said on Sunday that the party had to find a compromise formula to announce the candidate from this seat. He also said that a local person should have been chosen for this seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Let us tell you that Muniyappa, a minister in the Karnataka government, sought a ticket for his son-in-law Chikka Paddana from Kolar seat. He was also very supportive of it. On the other hand, five MLAs including MC Sudhakar opposed it. All five threatened to resign en masse if Paddana was given the ticket.

Angry that his son-in-law was not given the pass from Kolar, Munyapa claimed that the high command had given the pass. He decided in favor of Chika Paddana (his son-in-law), but since then there have been some differences between us (Kolar Unit). In such a situation, he left the decision of Moshav Kohler to the prime minister and the state president of the party. They failed to solve the problem and chose a third person as a candidate.

Munyapa said such differences existed in many constituencies and efforts were being made by the leadership to resolve them, but it could not be done in Kolar. Now I have no use blaming anyone, the elections are near. However, the country’s leadership should have appointed a local person and asked both sides to act according to the party’s decision.
