Representative Panch and Sarpanch accused SDO of Electricity Department of demanding 20 thousand rupees in the name of removing the pole and behaved rudely.

Panch representative and sarpanch-cum-general secretary of HRD district made this allegation on Thursday. There is an allegation of demand of bribe and misbehavior from Rekha Devi of Makramdih village of Rajoun block in return for removal of electricity pole from Rajoun Electricity SDO. A request for justice was submitted to SP Dr. Satyaprakash.

The victim also informed the MD and GM of the Electricity Department. She also complained to the Human and Women’s Rights Committee. Dalit woman Panch Rekha Devi claimed in the application that she made several rounds of the electricity department in writing and orally to remove the electricity pole standing in her yard.

In this regard, she went to meet the SDO along with Sarpanch representative of Sanjha-Shyampur Panchayat and District Human Rights General Secretary Manoj Kumar Mishra. During this, a person was first asked to come inside. Later, when both of them went inside, they were abused and a demand of Rs 20,000 was made for the removal of the pole.
The victim said he will fight until he gets respect and justice. Superintendent of Police Chandradeep Kumar said that after receiving the request, appropriate action will be taken in this regard after investigation.
