West Bengal BJP president Sukant Majumdar alleged that the alleged sting operation on Sandeshkhali was an attempt to suppress Sandeshakhli’s truth. Majumdar also raised questions about the timing of the release of the video and claimed that the video was released to give a clean slate to Shahjahan Sheikh, the main accused in the Sandashkali case.
Majumdar called the video fake
Majumdar said that “this video was released by TMC leaders only to suppress the truth of Sandeshakhli. Why was the sting operation conducted at this time, when elections are going on? But it is not easy to deceive people, politically mature people and everyone understands why the video was released at this time.” It is to be noted that on Saturday, TMC has released a video, in which it has been claimed that in the video, it is BJP’s Mandal president who has told that opposition leader Swandu Adhikari is behind the whole conspiracy. By releasing this video, TMC is claiming that there is a conspiracy of BJP behind the Sandeshkhali controversy However, Majumdar called the video fake and said it may have been created using AI technology.
Majumdar was referring to Abhishek Banerjee’s statement
Majumdar said that “Our leader Gangdhar Kyal said that the person in the video is not him. As soon as the video surfaced, TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee said that the party should have thought twice before sacking Shajahan Sheikh. Now this video will be used to give a “Clean to Shajahan Sheikh,” said that 600-700 people filed complaints in the Sandashali case. One person’s statement is accepted and others’ claims are rejected.
Majumdar said that he also raised questions about CM Mamata Banerjee not going to Sandeshkhali and asked, ‘Why CM has not gone to Sandeshakhli till now? I challenge them to go there and we will show them how the plots were converted into fish ponds under the leadership of Shahjan Sheikh. Central agencies also found weapons from a house in Sandashkali.
