Miscreants opened indiscriminate firing at a textile shop located at Khoksaha Chowk from Vibhutipur police station in Samastipur district late on Thursday evening. A young man died in the shooting, while a shop owner was injured. The deceased youth has been identified as Dhraj Kumar (27), son of Sitaram Chandra Singh, a resident of Balasandi Tara village. The injured shopkeeper has been identified as Kanhaiya Kumar. The deceased was hit by four bullets. The wounded shop owner was hit by a bullet in his left hand. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and began an investigation.

Regarding the incident, it was reported that late in the evening, Dahraj met his friends.
