City Correspondent Bokaro Steel Authority of India Limited has won the volleyball tournament organized by the All India Public Sector Sports Management Board in Bhopal from 15 to 18 April. SAIL won the title of champion by defeating Oil India by 3-0 points in the tournament. A total of 9 public sectors ie SAIL, LIC, BSNL, Coal India, Nivelli Lignite Corporation, Oil India, ESIC, BHEL and NALCO participated in the tournament. It may be noted that the company operates several sports academies in different places to nurture the new sports talents of the country. The company organizes inter-cell sports championships across its plants and units to provide opportunities for sports talents as well as develop sports infrastructure and hone talents.
