After receiving the information about the strike, Municipal Board Sanitation Construction Contractor Martyunjay Kumar, Sultanganj Municipal Board Sanitation Officer, Amit Kumar Bhagat, Sanitation Inspector Dilip Dubey reached the spot. The sanitation worker of Sultanganj City Council was pacified after hours of persuasion. At the same time, the sanitation workers were assured that the amount would be transferred to their PF account by May 30. After that, the strike among the sanitation workers was stopped.

The sanitation workers said that we have not yet received the PF for the past few years. Many times we also gave written requests to the company under which we work. But no action was taken. That is why we are on strike for the last two days. It is said that PF will be given by May 30. If we don’t get PF then we will continue the strike.

Sanitation worker Mukesh said our wages are very low. The salary should be at least 18000 rupees per month. With this we can feed our family well. The amount of money he receives for his work is not enough to support his family. On top of that, wages are not received on time. We have approached the concerned authorities several times regarding PF, but no word has been taken.

We are on strike for the last two days. Here, after the promise, the cleaning workers returned to their work. In the last two days of the strike, there is a huge pile of garbage on the territory of the municipal council. During this, the contractor Marityunjay Kumar, Literacy Officer Amit Kumar Bhagat, Sanitation Inspector Dilip Dubey and more than two dozen sanitation workers were present.
