The Great Northern Air Ambulance (GNAAS) as well as the North East Ambulance Service attended the scene.

A NEAS spokesman said, “We received a call at 13:16 this afternoon to reports that a person had been injured in the Sacriston area of ​​Durham.
“We dispatched an emergency ambulance crew, a clinical team leader and the Great North Air Ambulance, who took one male patient to hospital for further treatment.”
A GNAAS spokesman said: “We were activated at 13:19 to an incident in County Durham, we flew to the scene and arrived at 13:37.
“Our team led by Doctors worked with the North East Ambulance Service to stabilize the patient before taking them to hospital.”
