“I feel that we women wherever we work we do it with guilt,” the actress expressed her point of view as a working mother.
Rupali Ganguly, who gained immense popularity for her role in the hit daily soap Anupamaa, recently showered praises on her husband Ashwin K Verma for his exemplary parenting skills. The actress shared in the interview about the challenges of juggling a thriving career and motherhood and praised her husband’s role in raising their son.
In an interview with ETimes, Rupali shared, “I am very happy that my son has a father, who can look after him so well. He does not let our son feel the absence of his mother. He is a better mother than me. I have just given birth to my son, but It’s just the wine husband (mom is my husband). But yes, I feel bad sometimes when we both sit and he comes and says, “Bapu, I want to do this and you feel so alone. I feel like “Hey, I’m here.” There are few things that mothers do and for those things when he starts asking his father, it feels bad that even I am here. But it’s okay because he takes care of our son so well.”
The actress also talked about feeling guilty as a working mother. “I feel like we women wherever we work we do it with guilt. We are blessed to have proud husbands who are such wonderful role models for our children,” she said.
This is not the first time Rupali has praised her husband. In a previous interview with Pinkvilla, she expressed pride that her husband is a housewife. She shared, “My husband does everything. From cooking to everything and today he is a housewife and I am very proud of the fact that he is a housewife. I am so blessed.”
Rupali often shares pictures with her family on social media. Some time ago she celebrated her 47th birthday in Goa with them. She posted a group photo from their trip featuring her husband Ashwin, son Rudranesh, brother and mother. Alongside the photo she wrote, “My world. Physically we’re back… Mentally we’re still there… Goa Diaries.”
In the TV series Anupamaa, Rupali impressed the audience as a devoted wife and mother who navigates the complexities of life with grace and resilience. Off screen, she shares a loving bond with her husband, Ashwin K Verma, whom she married in 2013. Together they have a son named Rudranesh.
