A court in Pune has sent Vishal Aggarwal, the father of a minor who was allegedly involved in a road accident in the city’s Kalyani Nagar area, along with five other accused to judicial custody till June 7. The prosecution asked to extend his police detention for further investigation. But the court sent Aggarwal and others to judicial custody. which also includes the owners and employees of two factories. According to the suspicion, the minor drank alcohol in one of their establishments and his car hit two software people who were riding a motorcycle.

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that at the time of the accident on May 19, an attempt was made to show that the car was not driven by a minor, but by another person. Agarwal and five other accused were produced before Additional Sessions Judge SP Ponkshe. His police custody ended. The other accused include restaurant owner Koji Naman Bhutada and its manager Sachin Katkar, Black Club management Sandeep Sangle and its employees Jayesh Gawkar and Nitesh Shewani.

The investigation was transferred to the crime branch

The investigation into the road accident was transferred from Yerwada police station to the crime branch on Friday evening. Two constables at the Yerwada police station have been suspended for negligence in the performance of their duties. The initial offense was registered on May 19 at the Yerwada police station. Police Commissioner Kumar said that the investigation has been transferred to the crime branch to bring about a coordinated approach. According to him, the crime branch is already investigating the crime registered against the minor’s father and the owners and employees of two liquor factories.

Pub and bar workers protested

On the other hand, after the road accident, measures were taken against pubs and bars by the local administration. Many workers in these factories protested this and said that they are losing their livelihood because of it. As soon as the employee said, we suffer the consequences of a double mistake. About 2500 workers along with bar and pub owners gathered at Mills Raja Bahadur near Police Station area of ​​Pune. After the Kalyani Nagar incident, the district administration is taking action against many pubs and bars. Following the Collector’s order, 32 such factories in different parts of Pune faced action.
