Rawalpindi (News Desk) A senior official of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has been kidnapped from Rawalpindi for ransom.
Reliable sources said that Rehmatullah Khan BS 18 Officer of Inland Revenue Service who is posted at FBR headquarters has been kidnapped by unknown people. He was stationed in the FBR Control Wing at the Board’s Headquarters.
From the details, it was learned that the officer had left the house to congratulate friends on Eid during the Eid holidays. He later went missing. The family made every effort to contact him but to no avail as the mobile phone has been switched off since April 12, 2024.

An FIR was registered on April 15, 2024 at the concerned police station. However, the officer’s brother-in-law said he received a call from a Sindhi-speaking man asking for a ransom of Rs 10 million. The kidnappers claimed that Rehmatullah Khan was in their custody in Gothgi Kacha area.
For the chairman of the FBR, the speedy recovery of the officer is a difficult task. This incident has created concern among all officers and officials who play a key role in tax collection.
