While traveling on a train in West Singhbhum in September last year, 28-year-old Ravi Shankar Sahu, a resident of Kera village, Chakradharpur block, fell from the train. Because of this both of the young man’s legs were amputated. The young man is in a lot of trouble since the last year.

Social worker Abhijeet Bhattacharya informed this to Foundation President Sumita Hota cum social worker Sadanand Hota On Thursday, Mr. Hota reached Kera village. Where he saw that the young man’s right leg had been cut off above the knee and the left leg below the knee and that the bone on the left side of the chest had also been broken. The young man is unable to walk. The young man has become completely disabled. He also does not get disability pension or any facility from the government.

During this, the President of the Foundation, Mr. Hota, said that the young man was working as a laborer in Baroda, Gujarat. Last year, while returning home on the Shalimar train, young man Ravi Shankar Sahu lost control and fell from the train near Kansbahal station in Rourkela. The young man had caught his bag when he fell, and his head was not injured because of that. But both legs were amputated. Despite losing both of his legs, the young man continued to lie injured on the railway tracks throughout the night. In the morning, the youngster was treated with the help of local people and the families were informed. After this, the family members arrived and seeing the serious condition of the young man, he was admitted to Burla Medical College, Burla where the young man returned home after two months of treatment. But both of the young man’s legs were amputated. Because of this the youngster is facing a financial crisis and people are asking for help and to be fitted with an artificial leg. The youth is unmarried Apart from the social worker Abhijeet Bhattacharya, the youth’s family members were present on this occasion.
