Dhanbad The court on Thursday ordered the release of Shambhu Prasad Agarwal, a resident of Rajganj, and his nephew Karan Agarwal, accused of smuggling narcotics, ganja and cannabis, due to lack of evidence. Police raided Shambhu’s house and recovered 10 kg of cannabis and 9 kg of ganja. Shambhu was arrested and sent to jail. He said on questioning that his nephew Karan is also involved in the business. After investigation, the police had filed a charge sheet against both of them in the court, but they did not present the seized ganja and cannabis in the court. The IO had said in his evidence that the seized ganja and cannabis had been eaten by rats. Advocate Abhay Bhatt argued the case on behalf of the accused in court.
