After the President’s approval, the notification for the appointment of Rana Sanaullah was issued.

Rana Sanaullah will act as a liaison with the political parties on behalf of the Prime Minister and his position will be equal to that of a minister.

Before appointing Rana Sanaullah, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had appointed lawyer Irfan Qadir as his legal advisor.

It should be noted that Rana Sanaullah is a senior Muslim League-N leader, he was the Home Minister in the previous coalition government, but faced defeat from the Faisalabad seat in the general elections.

Rana Sanaullah openly admitted his defeat and said that the majority of the people of my constituency did not give me the mandate that I am receiving.

After Rana Sanaullah lost the election, he pushed to join the federal or provincial government, while Nawaz Sharif talked to the prime minister to include him in the cabinet.
