AR Rahman’s Jai Ho song is not!
Director Ram Gopal Verma has said that the song ‘Jai Ho’ from AR Rahman’s Oscar-winning film ‘Slum Dog Millionaire’ is not his composition. Ram Gopal Verma said that the song was actually composed by singer Sukhwinder Singh. Ram Gopal Varma made this claim in an interview with Film Companion.

The song Jai Ho was originally composed for the 2008 film ‘Yuvraaj’ directed by Subhash Ghai starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. It was made by Sukhwinder Singh. Rahman was in London while composing the song. Subhash Ghai was ready to shoot the song as soon as possible. As she got busy, Rahman said he commissioned Sukhwinder to compose the song.
