Rakesh Daulatabad suffered a heart attack at 10 am, after which he was taken to a private hospital. Where Rakesh died during the procedure. He breathed his last at Manipal Palam Vihar Hospital in Gurugram.
Daulatabad had won from the Badshahpur assembly seat in the assembly elections of 2019. After that it supported the BJP government. Although he had also contested the elections as an independent candidate in 2014, Rao had lost to Narbir Singh.
Having supported the BJP, he did not leave even after the change of CM
Daulatabad, as an independent MLA, had given unconditional support to the BJP government formed under the leadership of former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. After this, even when he broke the alliance with JJP, he supported the government formed under the leadership of Naib Saini.
Keeping a distance despite talk of withdrawing aid
During the Lok Sabha elections, 3 independent BPs withdrew support from the BJP government. He supported the Congress in Rohtak in the presence of Bhupendra Hooda. These included Dharmbir Gonder, Somveer Sangwan and Randhir Golan. However, apart from these 3, there was much discussion about Daulatabad also withdrawing the government’s support. But, the 3 MLAs did not support this. He later released a video and announced his support for the BJP government.

That is why Dalatabad came to discuss during the Corona period
Independent MLA Rakesh Daulatabad had taken a unique initiative to overcome the problems of basic facilities like electricity, roads, water etc. during Corona period. The MLA had announced that officers and workers who do good work in the work related to electricity, water, sewer and road departments in their area will be given a reward of Rs 25 lakh.
According to MLA Rakesh Daulatabad, the officer of the electricity, water, sewer and road departments in the area who gets a good rating from the local people will be entitled to the cash prize. He said that this decision was made so that the officers or employees resolve public complaints as quickly as possible and in a better way.
CM Saini expressed grief
Haryana CM Nayab Saini expressed his grief over the demise of the Daulatabad MLA. Saini wrote – “I am hurt and shocked by the sudden demise of Rakesh Daulatabad ji, MLA from Badshahpur and a key ally in the Assembly. Due to the sudden demise of Rakesh ji, there is a void in Haryana politics. May God give him a place at his holy feet.
