The video of a cow being shot is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In this video it is seen that a young man stands pointing a gun in front of the cow and shoots it on the head. After this, the cow falls on the ground in pain and starts bleeding from her nose. After this the person shoots the cow once more, and because of that it dies.

According to the website, the video which is going viral on social media is from Manipur. After the video went viral, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) responded to the issue. We also found a tweet from PETA India in the news.
Responding to the viral video, PETA wrote – PETA India is working on this matter in collaboration with the Manipur Police cyber cell team. Once this is confirmed, we will lodge an FIR with the concerned district police and take necessary action.
This is clearly being done with viral videos on social media. The claim is completely wrong.
