A members’ meeting was held on Sunday at the Madhya Pradesh State Bar office in the Jabalpur High Court complex where senior Supreme Court and High Court lawyer Radhey Lal Gupta was elected unopposed as the President of the Madhya Pradesh State Bar. 15 out of 25 members of the Bar

In fact, members of the State Bar are elected every five years. More than 50 thousand lawyers of Madhya Pradesh vote for 25 members of the bar. Later all 25 members together elect the president. On Sunday, all members of the Bar arrived at the State Bar office and voted by raising their hands in electing the President. Out of 25 members, 15 members voted in favor of Radey Lal Gupta by raising their hands and elected him as President while 10 members did not say anything, and so based on the consent of 15 members, Radey Lal Gupta was elected as the new President of the State Bar unopposed.

Radhe Lal Gupta, who lives in Jabalpur, has been practicing law for the past 46 years. On the post of Assistant General of the Government of India, he represented the Madhya Pradesh High Court from 2007 to 2012. Apart from this, Radhelal Gupta was also the Senior Advisor of CBI between 2007 and 2012. After the partition of Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh in 2002, Radhelal Gupta was appointed by the government for counseling as a special lawyer. Radhelal Gupta of Madhya Pradesh State Bar is the only member who has been a member since 2002, he has also won the member election four times in a row. Madhya Pradesh High Court senior lawyer Radhelal Gupta has argued more than 400 PILs.
